Captains Golf Course, The -Port, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Brewster, Massachusetts. The facility has two 18 hole courses, The Port Course and The Starboard Course.
The Captains Golf Course is owned and operated by the Town of Brewster. It is named for the many sea captains that were known to reside in Brewster in the early 1800's. The original 18-hole layout was opened in 1985 and was named by GOLF DIGEST magazine as the "Best New Public Golf Course In The Country". In 1999, the Captains opened 18 additional holes merging the new and existing holes to form the par -72 Port Course and the par-72 Starboard Course. Brian Silva, designed both the original layout as well as the additional holes. In the year 2000, GOLF WORLD magazine named Brian Silva Architect of the Year for his work on the Captains as well as many other golf courses he has designed.

Played on Tuesday and Wednesday in June just prior to peak season for the area. My foursome completed both rounds in 4 hours with minimal waiting. Very nice layout. Challenging shots with a variety of clubs needed. We all really liked the layout. We played from whites tees as the back were really long and would have required some long wood or iron shots. Enjoyed it both days. Greens were perfect!
